Weeping willow

Under  the willow
Where they met so long ago
Under the tree
She gave a contented sigh
Under that tree
That's where two young lovers went to die
Under the old willow
Where no child is allowed to play
Lonely, no one ever stays
Cloaked in the past
Under the tree it seems
No happiness can last
That tree stands all alone
No one cares to remember it
How ever long its grown
